Why it's worth doing
The seated cable row exists to cover a middle ground neither the barbell row nor the machine row fully occupies: horizontal pulling with constant tension from start to finish, unlike a dumbbell or a barbell, where tension drops off at the ends of the range, but without the chest support that takes all the postural work off the core.

How to do it

- Pull the handle toward your abdomen by driving your elbows back and close to your body, holding the same torso angle you started with.

- Release under control, letting your arms extend fully, without your torso following the weight forward.
